Your first visit can take up to 45 minutes. When you enter the office, you’ll be warmly greeted by one of our staff, and invited to help yourself to our coffee and tea bar. After completing any unfinished new patient paperwork, you’ll see our nurse practitioner, who will review your case history and conduct a brief examination.
Because we specialize in customized care for sometimes complex cases, the next step could include any of the following possibilities:
- An immediate referral to one of our chiropractors for additional evaluation or X-rays if necessary, followed by a chiropractic adjustment.
- Subsequent pain management protocols, including physical therapy modalities, or a specific trigger point injection to an area of pain.
- Massage therapy, cold laser or acupuncture treatment.
Regardless of the complexity or simplicity of your problem, our team will determine the most efficient treatment plan to address your specific complaint!
Depending on the selection of treatment modalities, your time in the office will vary. Here are some of the estimated treatment times:
- Acupuncture: 15-20 minutes
- Chiropractic adjustment: 15-20 minutes
- Dry needling: 30 Minutes
- Massage therapy: 30 or 60 minutes
- Physical therapy: 60 minutes
- Platelet-rich plasma injections: 30-40 minutes

Your first visit can take up to 45 minutes. When you enter the office,
you’ll be warmly greeted by one of our staff, and invited to help yourself
to our coffee and tea bar. You will have a chance to complete any
unfinished new patient paperwork.
Next, you will have a consultation with one of our providers to discuss
your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options.
This initial visit is designed for us to learn more about you, your
condition, and expectations to determine how we can meet your health goals.
After your consultation, you will receive a thorough examination including testing your reflexes and flexibility as well as other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests. However, nothing will be done in our office without your consent.
Depending on your specific condition, we may take X-rays as well. X-rays help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.
At the conclusion of this initial appointment, depending on your condition and the results of your initial consultation, exam and x-rays (if taken), you may receive your first treatment. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapy, and/or soft tissue massage. Treatment is interactive, so you can express concerns about the different styles of treatment anytime.
