Dr. Doran’s Background

As a child, he was an avid athlete, eventually focusing and excelling at track and field. After graduating high school, Dr. Doran continued his athletic interests on the University of Wisconsin track team. However, injuries and a trip to Colorado convinced him to transfer to Colorado State University in Fort Collins, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, minoring in Exercise Physiology. While at CSU, he began to compete in triathlons, eventually completing an Iron Man distance triathlon.
While training, he began experiencing shoulder pain that affected his sleeping and studying. Chiropractic helped him get back to training pain-free and piqued his interest because of its close connections to nutrition, anatomy, and exercise physiology.
After graduating from Colorado State, Dr. Doran chose to continue his education, attending Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. While at Palmer, he was on the Dean’s list and was a graduate teaching assistant. After graduating from Palmer College, Dr. Doran returned to Colorado, looking forward to practicing chiropractic in Denver and starting his chiropractic career.
